John Odutemu is a certified and licensed Clinical Psychologist and managing partner at Hephzibah Consults. He is an independent consultant to Family Wellness Therapy Centre and and other organizations. John has a wealth of experience spanning educational (Goodnews school, Apapa, Tolyfun International School, Apapa, Greensprings educational services, Lagos), telecommunications (Spectrum Phones Ltd), FCMG (Eviron health) and health sector (Concept One Medical Centre, Lagos)
He has 19 years varied work experience including 8 years within the educational industry and 6 in the mental health sector. His major strength includes the use of psychometric instruments and observation for the purpose of psychological assessment, report writing, treatment planning, therapy sessions and follow-up.
He is a member of the crisis intervention committee of the Nigerian Association of Clinical Psychologists, Lagos State chapter.
John is interested in research, personal development and eclectic understanding of human behaviour in and outside the work environment. He garnered clinical experience at the Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Yaba and Concept One Medical Centre, Lagos. He is currently a Ph. D researcher in the University of Lagos. He understands and manages clients with anxiety, depression, emotional trauma, phobia, stress and substance dependence across the age spectrum.
His current scope of work includes clinical assessment, psychodiagnostics, psychotherapy, counselling, training and behaviour modification. He manages clients to ensure that the proposed solutions and delivery meet acceptable standards, ensuring continuous engagement and improvement in client’s relationship.
He is a member of the Nigerian Psychological Association (NPA), Nigeria Association of Clinical
Psychologists (NACP), Learning and Development Network International (LDNI) and the American Psychological Association, USA. He is happily married with a daughter.
